Responsibilities
Position Objective:
The EMR System Analyst is an administrative and operational role and is responsible for providing support for administrative, financial, clinical, quality, and operational efficiencies through the EMR system. The incumbent will report to the Mgr Clinical Apps (or similar role) and will support leadership, management, and clinic staff by helping to resolve issues with the EMR platform, as well as integrated systems.

Responsibilities
Position Objective:
The EMR System Analyst is an administrative and operational role and is responsible for providing support for administrative, financial, clinical, quality, and operational efficiencies through the EMR system. The incumbent will report to the Mgr Clinical Apps (or similar role) and will support leadership, management, and clinic staff by helping to resolve issues with the EMR platform, as well as integrated systems.
Responsibilities:
- Identifies EMR system, process, performance, and architectural improvements to support the technical roadmap and business needs in areas such as Administrative, Clinical, Quality, Financial and Operational
- Builds out robust dashboards that monitor clinical quality, medical cost, quality statistics, key trends, program tracking, and operational performance
- Coordinates and assists with the implementation of technology projects including modification of existing applications or installation of new applications in Eclinicalworks to address clinical needs as identified
- Works closely with others to create formal specifications for both internal and external reporting agencies, and ensure that all reporting is properly specified, documented, tested, implemented, and maintained
- Coordinates with the clinic IT department for any projects that affect network operations
- Provides timely and high-quality customer support by troubleshooting user errors and resolving issues efficiently
- Influences, enhances, and improves eClinicalWorks utilization to make the system work more effectively and efficiently for users
- Collaborates with external organizations, such as Quest, Labcorp, and others, to facilitate EMR integrations, including immunization, laboratory, and HIE systems
- Attends Eclinicalworks ongoing training to stay current on Eclinicalworks features and upcoming enhancements
- Supports, analyzes, and monitors Eclinicalworks processes on clinical and billing functions, report generation, and data extraction for all clinics
- Coordinates/performs comprehensive testing of all patches and new releases
- Designs and adheres to all State and Federal guidelines and standards
- Sets up new clinic sites (new facility, programs, users, interfaces, etc.)
- Monitors support tickets with Eclinicalworks and serves as primary point of contact for all IT issues and requests relating to the EMR and clinic peripheral systems
- Reports any unusual events or problems with applications and/or program operations to supervisor
- Ensures maintenance of clinical program data collection, management and reporting infrastructure for UDS, HEDIS, OSHPD, and other external agencies
- Participates in Management, Staff and Quality meetings as requested
- Additional duties as assigned
Position Requirements/ Skills:
- Associate's Degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2+ years of experience in system administration in an Electronic Medical Records system
- Experience in the following environments: SQL, Access, Excel, and/or statistical packages, preferred
- Knowledge of role-based security and HIPAA rules and regulations
- Knowledge of industry/business hardware/software applications and healthcare interoperability solutions (e.g., Dragon)
- Proficient with Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for real-time collaboration
- Proven ability to handle data with confidentiality.
- Skilled in cross-functional collaboration and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with comfort engaging internal and external stakeholders, including providers and health plans.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and critical thinking skills, with a focus on problem-solving and driving results.
- Results-oriented, emphasizing quality execution and successful delivery.
- Appreciation of cultural diversity and sensitivity toward target patient populations
Physical Requirements:
- Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, and move freely for extended periods, including climbing stairs as needed.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, reach, and pull as required for tasks.
- Frequent use of office equipment, including computers, printers, and copy machines.
- Availability to travel to clinical sites or vendor locations and to provide on-call support when necessary.
- Able to lift at least 15lbs at times.
